For Your Safety

Our office wishes to make you aware of our sterilization and infection control procedures. We want to assure you that we take your concerns very seriously and adhere to all the CDC (Center of Disease Control) recommended precautions to assure that your dental visit is a safe one.

These include:

All instruments are sterilized by steam under pressure (i.e. autoclave). This includes dental handpieces.

All surfaces in each room are cleaned and disinfected after each patient.

After disinfection, surfaces that come into contact with blood and saliva are wrapped with a sterile barrier and discarded after use.

Many items are disposable or are used on a one-time basis only.

Surgical and examination gloves, masks, gowns, and protective eyewear are worn by the entire staff while performing procedures.

Biological testing is performed on the sterilization equipment at the recommended intervals to assure that it is working properly.
